SCANDAL ACTOR LOVES SINGING!
Actor Hungani Ndlovu said he can’t live without music. The talented entertainer, who is known for his role as the 19-year-old spoilt brat Romeo in Etv - Scandal!, has released a single called Follower with his cousin, Jason Khoza.
The young men call themselves RV, which is short for ReVision.
Hungani told SunBuzz the single is about social media and how most people use it to gain followers. “Sometimes they beg to be followed and claim to follow back,” said Hungani, whose stage name is Grizi. He said Follower is a house track that helped him escape the evil vibes in society.
“It gives me an opportunity to express myself while having fun at the same time.” Some of his lyrics are in Tsonga. “It’s my mother tongue and it flows easily,” said Hungani.
This promising entertainer said music is an additional skill he has. “Some people know I started as a dancer before I became an actor. So I’m not in a rush to make it big in the music industry. “I’m taking it one step at a time,” he said. Hungani assured his fans venturing into music doesn’t mean he’ll quit acting. “I’m still Romeo from Scandal! I just found another talent to entertain my fans.”

Hungani believes people will relate to his music as it brings good vibes. Follower was produced by Alberto Junior, who was given creative freedom to make the amazing beats. “The main idea was to create an Afro-beat sound with a South African feel. That’s why we have instruments such as the marimba, which carries the chorus of the song. “We have a guitar, a sax and drums as additional elements to the beat,” said Hungani.
The 23-year-old was born and raised in Hazyview, Mpumalanga. He’s the founder of the talent agency Sans Group (www.sansgroup.co), which manages and train actors and dancers. The group also shares tips on how things work in the entertainment industry. His dream is to entertain people around the world as his music idol, Michael Jackson, did.
